• Two years minimum of professional job-related experience (childcare experience if you are applying to be a nanny)

• Excellent verifiable employer references 

• Valid Driver's License and Insured vehicle for use on the job

• Ability to give a one-year minimum commitment (for permanent placements only)

• Current CPR/First Aid Certification (or willing to get certified)

• U.S. work authorization

• No Criminal Record

• High School Diploma or higher

We have found that many of our clients value additional qualifications such as formal education in child development, teaching experience, musical talent, the ability to speak more than one language, and nutritional knowledge.

• CPR/First Aid Expiration Dates (if applicable)

• Education History

All applicants must give Patty Cake Nannies consent for a National Background Check for:

• Criminal Background Check (county, state, and national)

• Social Security Number Verification

• Sex Offender

• Violent Offenders

• DMV or MVD Records

• Fingerprints

Depending on the placement, some families may require additional screening, such as:

​

• Drug testing

• Credit Check

• Other health-related tests (vaccinations, blood/urine tests, TB tests, etc.)
